Art of Digital: London. Digital Economic Models – tried and tested to blue sky

Just a quick note to thank the folks from Art of Digital: London and The Photographers’ Gallery for, respectively, organising and hosting last night’s event which was a discussion about digital economic models.

There was an interesting spread of people there, from individual artists to people working at RFOs. The conversation ranged back and forth a fair bit (as you’d expect with such a wide topic) but for the most part it stayed pleasingly rooted in practical experiences and, often, the frustrations people had encountered.

We talked about micropayments, CRM systems, issues with intellectual property (with conflicting frustrations from artists, arts orgs and publishers), membership schemes and BCMG’s Sound Investment scheme amongst others.

I was interested to hear about:

An event for next month hasn’t been announced yet, but here’s the Art of Digital London meet-up page.
