I’m off to Austin, Texas in a bit to attend SXSWi. Yee-haw!
It’s my first time out there but I’ve followed it from afar for a few years. I’ve some idea of what to expect and it’s fair to say I’m looking forward to it. Lots of other West Mids people are going too – there’s a round-up of everyone and some other info on SXSWM.
Essentially, my plan is to wander around, catch some panels, speak to some folk and generally soak up as much as possible. My wanderings will be given some focus by the fact that I’ll be following Ewan Spence around and helping with his podcasts for the Tech Conference Show on the Podcast Network.
I’ve pulled out a few interesting looking panels/events (on this schedule) and I’m planning to show up for the live WxWM hook-up too.
While I’m intending to capture some of what’s happening and feed it back to peeps in the West Mids/wherever I imagine my time will be better spent seeing/doing stuff than writing about it. Basically, although I’ll get some chance to fling things online I don’t want to oversell how coherent those things will be while I’m away. If you want to follow stuff I’ll be putting:

I’m sure you will have a great time, never been to there but like yourself, have been following SXSW for a few years.
